Tax Receipts In order to process a tax receipt - we require your full name and address. Tax receipts for donations made by phone or directly to the charity are processed each yearend. The on-line donations with Canada Helps generate their own tax receipts. NFSO cannot write a receipt for an on-line donation. If you plan to move during the year, please remember to send us an updated address.

Your tax deductible donation goes directly to supporting Research Programs, Individual and Family Support Services, and the Campaign to increase Public Awareness and Education. Your gift allows us to use your support where it is needed most. All donations made to NFSO are tax deductible. If you prefer, you can designate your gift or pledge to a particular program. Please indicate your designation in a letter or on the front of your cheque.

A Fitting Memorial
There may be someone special that you would like to remember-maybe a friend or relative that has passed away. You can give special recognition to that person with a gift in their memory to The Neurofibromatosis Society of Ontario. Please include the name and address of the family of the person you wish to make the donation in memory of and we will send them a card informing them of the donation, but not mentioning the amount that you have donated.
A Special Honor
Some contributors wish to make "In Honor Of "donations for someone special for a birthday, anniversary, bar mitzvahs, baptisms or other special occasions. This can also be done as above. Please include the name and address of the person you are honoring and we send them a card informing them of the donation, but not the amount.
Donations through Employment
When you are making a contribution to the NFSO, check with your Employer to see if they have a "Matching Gift Program". This is where a company will donate the same amount their employees contribute to their favorite charities. If they do have such a program, request the specialized form and fill it out accordingly then send it to the office listed above. You can also donate through United Way Programs at some companies.
