| Our Annual General Meeting was truly a great success! We were pleased to see so many new faces; Thrilled to see the "old-timers" still coming back! We were overjoyed in having the Brantford Support Group join us for the day and hope to see them all again at the meeting in April. Congratulations Rhonda for making such a difference in your community! Thank you for contacting the media, having the courage to share your story and allowing the Brantford Support Group to become a reality. We are proud of your hard work! Our guest speaker from BCNF was a fountain of information. The prospect of Canada Unite is very exciting. Strength in numbers will only help further our goal of global awareness. The support of a bigger, more re-knowned organization will be such an asset to NFSO in our future endeavours, we're hoping in particular to jump start our fundraising ventures as we are in dire need of literature and money to launch a public awareness campaign. Change and growth is not only healthy but also inevitable. |
| We are currently doing our Christmas fundraising with a spin off idea from NNFF. This Christmas we are selling charity bears with proceeds going to NFSO. We have 12" Sparkles with a beautiful knit sweater, NFSO elegantly embroidered on the back selling for $12. We also have 5" Hope selling for $5. Hope has a beautiful royal blue ribbon with NFSO embossed in gold around its neck. Words cannot express the appreciation we feel to Ange Beecroft and Brandie Doirion of St.Thomas, Ontario whose labour of love went into tying the bows for Hope. A heartfelt thanks to Green's Printing also hailing from St Thomas for getting us the ribbon at a reduced price and cutting the gazillion ribbons free of charge. Thanks Marcie and Bill for lightening our load yet again! These bears are the perfect gift for teachers, friends, co-workers, neighbors and even family. You can take pride in knowing your gift purchase is helping NFSO in its mission. The bears will be unveiled at The Brotherhood Band concert Nov.16th 2002. If you would like to order some bears please call, write or email and we would be glad to fill your order. |
